Cindy Humphlett has been the SHS Theatre Director since the 2021/2022 school year. She was the previous co-director for Creekview High School where she produced and directed plays and musicals, such as The Importance of Being Earnest, The Music Man, and Addams Family.

While at SHS, she’s directed the award-winning one-act plays Fortress and Little Women, Miss Havisham’s Expectations, The One Act Play That Goes Wrong and Little Shop of Horrors. In 2024 under her direction Sequoyah was the Region 6 AAAAA One Act Champions.
Full productions at Sequoyah include: Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Broadway Version), Chicago: (Teen Edition), Mamma Mia, Kiss Me Kate.
She thanks her fellow directors, cast and crew, and Booster Club for putting in countless hours to make all of the shows at SHS successful. She also sends love out to her husband/emotional support animal, Mark, for keeping her fed, hydrated, and championed during the show seasons.
Cindi Bekas has been choreographing musicals for Sequoyah High School and Academy Street Theatre Group since 2007. She began training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, and Tap at age 3 and continued through
college at Ohio University, where she earned a degree in Musical Theatre on a full talent
scholarship.

She performed professionally in the Metro DC area before moving to Atlanta in 1980. She has been teaching dance and drama since 1990, creating and managing two dance programs in the North Atlanta area.

Noah Popp is a versatile theatre artist and technician whose work spans lighting design, technical direction, music direction, and a broad range of behind-the-scenes expertise. Known for his creative vision and meticulous technical skill, Noah brings productions to life through dynamic lighting, precise technical execution, and thoughtful artistic collaboration.
Noah has worked with several local theatre companies, including Marietta Theatre Company, The Historic Strand Theatre, Orbit Arts Academy, Aurora Theatre, and others. Noah’s lighting designs have been recognized with multiple honors, including a 2024 BroadwayWorld Atlanta Award and a Shuler Hensley Award nomination for Best Lighting Design. Noah was also the recipient of the 2024 Georgia Thespians Technical Student Achievement Award, recognizing his contributions to high school technical theatre across the state of Georgia.
Whether programming intricate lighting effects, calling cues from backstage, or working with directors to shape the visual storytelling of a show, Noah approaches each production with dedication, artistry, and a passion for live performance.
